We have been working as a pre-school since 1998. Our philosophy is to work in partnership with parents and carers, providing a friendly relaxed atmosphere for everyone. Interaction with children is paramount, providing a happy, stimulating and safe environment in preparation for a confident and successful transition and start to school.

We offer the children a versatile indoor and outdoor space where they will learn and develop through play. We will communicate themes and information via our newsletters every term.

Facilities also include a quiet room where children can relax and play quietly. There is a kitchen, child friendly accessible toilets and a good sized cloakroom.

We are committed to providing:

We are registered with Ofsted (Office for Standards in Education) and inspected by them to ensure our provision meets the learning and development requirements and complies with the welfare regulations as required by the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.

We are members of the Pre-school Learning Alliance (PSLA) and are covered by their insurance. This includes Employers Liability insurance up to £10 million and Public Liability up to £5 million. Both insurance certificates are displayed in our cloakroom area. The PSLA also help to keep us up to date with quality practice and new ideas to ensure our quality practice is maintained.

Key person

We have a key person system whereby each child and family are allocated a member of staff as their key person. We believe that children settle best when they have a key person to relate to which helps develop a secure relationship. The role is to meet their childs individual needs and to record observations and developmental progress. Learning Journals are provided where such information is shared with parent/carers during consultations.

DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service)

All staff are DBS checked. DBS aim is to help organisations in the public, private and voluntary sectors by identifying candidates who may be unsuitable to work with children or other vulnerable members of society.
